In our office we use a laser to help with the pain of the TMJ area. Our laser uses PBM or Photobiomodulation therapy also known as low level laser therapy (LLLT) which applies red and near infra-red light over sore areas and areas with lesions to improve wound and soft tissue healing. It also reduces inflammation and gives relief for both acute and chronic pain.
